Hier ist eine Liste von Fragen, die auf diesem Blog öfters gestellt werden. Vielleicht findest du sogar die Antwort, die du brauchst!

1. “Kann ich trans sein und auch (Kleider tragen/mein zugewiesenen Namen mögen/X-sexuell sein/…..)“
Ja. All diese Sachen haben nicht unbedingt was mit dein Geschlecht zu tun.
2. Ich weiß nicht ob ich trans/nicht-binär bin.
Leider, und auch zum Glück, kannst nur du das für dich wissen und herausfinden.
Ich würde an deiner Stelle ganz viel drüber lesen und hören, was wie sich andere trans Menschen mit ihrer Identität haben. Ich fand es persönlich sehr hilfreich, eine trans Gruppe in meiner Nähe zu finden um mit anderen trans Menschen drüber zu sprechen, dadurch habe ich sehr viel über meine eigene Identität erfahren.
Wenn du eine trans Person zum reden brauchst, ist immer eine_r von uns für dich da. Schreibe uns einfach ein Ask!

3. Fragen/Ressourcen zu Outing / Wie oute ich mich?
Es gibt ein paar Sachen die sehr wichtig sind, wenn du dich outen willst:
- Oute dich nur, wenn du weißt, dass du in Sicherheit bist, wenn du das tust
- Gut ist immer, vorher das Thema anzusprechen, aber nicht spezifisch auf dich bezogen, damit du weißt was für eine Meinung die Menschen zu dem Thema haben
- Wenn du weißt, dass du nach deinem Outing von deiner Familie weggehen musst, habe einen Backup-Plan. Also Freunde, bei denen du übernachten musst. In schlimmeren Fällen erkundige dich über Obdachlosenheime. Wir hoffen aber, dass niemand hier sich über so etwas Gedanken machen muss!

4. Kann man Binder in Deutschland (offline) oder zumindest innerhalb der EU (kein Zoll) kaufen?
Aus Deutschland kennen wir bisher nur TransToys.de [NSFW], was aus Berlin ist, aber eher ein Sex Shop ist.
Die Binder dort sind leider auch teurer als z.B. bei gc2b oder Underworks, sodass es wahrscheinlich nicht viel billiger oder je nach Modell sogar teurer als aus Nicht-EU-Ländern ist.
In den Niederlanden gibt es danaë [teils NSFW]. (Erfahrungen)a) Zu Zollkosten:
Ob man bei der Bestellung aus Nicht-EU-Land Zoll zahlen muss, kommt auf den aktuellen Umrechnungskurs an.
Auf der Zoll-Webseite wird es erklärt, ab wann und wie viel man bezahlen muss.
(Bei Lieferungen von je einem Binder musste ich bisher noch kein Zoll zahlen, war aber nah an der Obergrenze des Freibetrags.
- Dean)b) Zu Unsicherheit wegen Größen/Passform:
Auf jeder Online-Verkaufsstelle für Binder, die gut ist (z.B. Danae, gc2b, Underworks) gibt es eine Größentabelle! Du musst normalerweise einfach deinen Brustumfang an der breitesten Stelle messen. Wenn du dich ehrlich misst und die richtige Größe in der Tabelle aussuchst solltest du keine Probleme haben. Bitte nicht eine Größe kleiner kaufen, weil du meinst dass sie vielleicht besser bindet! Das bereitet dir nur unnötige Schmerzen und Schwierigkeiten.
Manchmal kann man den Binder auch zurückschicken/ umtauschen, Versand muss man aber meist selbst tragen. (Bitte beim jeweiligen Verkäufer informieren.)
5. Irgendwas über geschlechtsneutrale Sprache oder trans-Terminologie

6. Gibt es eine Gruppe in …?

7. Wie bekommt man Hormone?
Man muss in der Regel mind. 6 Monate in Therapie bei einer_m TS/TG-erfahrene_n Therapeut_in sein. (RICHTlinie der Krankenkassen, nicht bindend, wird aber meistens eingehalten)
Wenn die_der Therapeut_in dann meint, dass man wirklich trans ist, bekommt man von ihm_ihr ein Indikationsschreiben ausgestellt.Mit diesem muss man zu einem Endokrinologen. Dort muss man noch ein paar Voruntersuchungen machen lassen, wie z.B. Bluttest oder Chromosomen-Analyse.
Dann bekommt man ein Rezept für die Hormone ausgestellt.
8. Wie kann ich meinen legalen Vornamen ändern?
Für die Vornamens-/ Personenstandsänderung (VÄ/PÄ) muss ein Antrag beim zuständigen Amtsgericht gestellt werden. Grundlage dafür ist das Transsexuellengesetz (TSG).
Vorlagen (mit Hilfestellungen und Infos, was alles zum Antrag gehört):

- Zustimmung der Eltern zum Antrag auf VÄ/PÄ ihres Kindes [.doc]Kosten:
sehr unterschiedlich, 500-3000€ meistens. Allein Gutachten kosten jeweils ca. 500-1000€ (je nach Gutachter und Länge des Gutachtens)
Man kann jedoch Prozesskostenhilfe beantragen, wenn man wenig verdient/in Ausbildung ist/etc.

Ja, eigentlich sind das auch zwei verschiedene Dinge.
Als das TSG 1981 in Kraft trat, waren dafür noch unterschiedliche Voraussetzungen, die aber inzwischen größtenteils für verfassungswidrig erklärt und somit gestrichen wurden. Die übriggebliebenen Forderungen sind nun für beides die gleichen, und meistens wird für beides auch ein Antrag gestellt.Wenn du PÄ bzw. VÄ nicht willst, lässt du das eben einfach im Antrag weg.
Falls du die weggelassene Änderung jedoch später machen willst, musst du dafür dann auch einen Antrag stellen und brauchst dann wieder 2 Gutachten dafür.

9. Kann ich am Kleidertausch teilnehmen, wenn ich cisgeschlechtlich bin?
Du kannst gerne Kleidung verschenken, aber du darfst sie nicht erhalten. Dies ist nur für nicht-binäre oder binäre Trans-Menschen oder Menschen, die sich noch nicht bei ihrer Geschlechtsidentität sicher sind, erlaubt, da diese Menschen es beim Einkaufen schwerer haben. Außerdem könnten sie auch Probleme damit haben, dass ihre Familie ihre Identität nicht akzeptiert.
10. Kann ich am Kleidertausch teilnehmen, wenn ich nicht in Deutschland wohne?
Ja, aber bitte sag uns Bescheid, dass du nicht in Deutschland wohnst. Wenn du in den USA wohnst, dann gibt es viele andere Blogs, wo du mit anderen Menschen innerhalb der USA Kleidung tauschen kannst.
11. Kann ich diesen Blog nutzen/folgen, wenn ich nicht in Deutschland wohne?
Na klar! Dieser Blog dient aber hauptsächlich dazu, Ressourcen, die für Menschen, die in Deutschland wohnen und/oder Deutsch sprechen, relevant sind, zu sammeln.
12. Kann ich diesen Blog folgen, wenn ich cisgeschlechtlich bin?
Ja, aber wir sind da, um Fragen zu beantworten, die trans Menschen oder Menschen, die sich über ihrer Geschlechtsidentität noch nicht sicher sind, haben. Wenn du cisgeschlechtlich (cisgender) bist und dich über Transgeschlechtlichkeit informieren willst, dann gibt es im Internet andere Ressourcen, die für dich eher gedacht sind.

1. Can I be trans and (like to wear dresses/ like my birthname / like x gender/…..)
Yes. All of these things don’t have to have anything to do with your gender.
2. I don’t know if I am trans / non binary
Unfortunately, but also luckily only you can find that out.
I would look up many resources on the internet. And if you want to go look for trans group in your area to talk to other trans people irl. I found that to be very helpful.That way you can talk and learn a lot about how others identify and maybe you can find out more about yourself in the process. If you need trans people to talk to we are always here for you. Just message us.
If you are looking for a specific label for your gender, I find that the flowchart from transgenderteensurvivalguide is very good.
3. Coming out questions/resources / how do I out myself.
There are a few things that are very important when you out yourself:
- Only out yourself when you know it is safe to do so.
- It is always good to talk about the topic first, to see what stance a person has on lot before actually outing yourself.
- If you know you have to leave your house /family after your outing, have a backup plan. Ask friends if you can sleep at their house and look into homeless shelters. We all really hope that no one has to be in this situation

4. Can you buy binders in Germany (offline) or at least somewhere within the EU (no tariffs)?
The only shop/web site offering binders in Germany that we know is TransToys.de [NSFW]. They’re located in Berlin, but it’s more of a sex shop.
Unfortunately, their binders are more expensive than for example at underworks or gc2b. So it’s probably not much cheaper in the end - maybe even more expensive than binders from the US.
In the Netherlands, there’s a shop called danaë [partly NSFW]. (opinions)a) Tariffs
Whether you have to pay tariffs or not for a package from non-eu countries, depends on the current currency exchange rate.
When and how much you have to pay, is explained on the German Customs website.
(In my experience, I never had to pay tariffs for packages with 1 binder, but it was close to the limit
- Dean)b) Uncertainty regarding sizes/fitting
There are size charts on every good website for binders (e.g. Danae, gc2b, Underworks)! Usually, you just have to measure your chest circumference at the biggest point. When you measure faithfully and select the right size on the chart, there shouldn’t be any problems. Please don’t buy a size smaller just because you think it’s gonna bind better! It’s only means you’re gonna be in pain or can’t even put it on.
Sometimes you can return a binder or exchange it for one that is different size, but often you have to pay for shipping youself. (Please see the return policies of the specific shop)

6. Is there a group in …?

7. How can I get hormones in Germany?
You have to do therapy for at least 6 months (guideline from health insurance funds). If they are sure that you’re trans, your therapist (who should be experienced in transition stuff) will give you a letter of indication (Indikationsschreiben) for hormones.
After you’ve got your letter of indication, you have to see an endocrinologist to actually get hormones. There will be pre-examinations such as blood tests or chromosome analysis.
Then you’ll get a prescription for hormones.
8. How can I change my legal first name/gender marker?
You have to make an application to the local court (Amtsgericht) for a change of your first name and/or gender marker (Vornamens-/ Personenstandsänderung, short: VÄ/PÄ) based on the Transsexuals Act (Transsexuellengesetz, TSG).

You might be eligible to get legal aid (Prozesskostenhilfe, PKH) though. You can apply for legal aid in your initial application for VÄ/PÄ. You have to add the PKH form and corresponding documents.Expert witness sessions:

Yes, actually VÄ and PÄ are two different things.
When the TSG became effective in 1981, there were different prerequisites for VÄ and PÄ. By now, most of them were de-legalised and lapsed though. The prerequisites left are the same for both paragraphs now so most trans people apply for both at once.If you only want to change your name or your gender marker, you can just leave out the part about the other change in your application letter.
In case you want to change your gender marker or your name later though, you have to make another application and you probably need new opinions.

9. Can I participate in the clothing exchange if I am cisgender?
You can donate clothes but not receive. Exchanging clothing is only allowed to binary and non-binary trans and questioning people because these people often have a hard time in stores. Also, they often do not have the support form their family to get the clothes that they want.
10. Can I participate in the clothing exchange if I do not live in Germany?
Yes, but please say that you do not live in Germany. And if you are in the U.S.A. there are many other blogs who have US-centred clothing exchanges.
11. Can I use/follow this blog if I do not live in Germany?
Of course! We are mainly trying to gather resources for people that live in Germany and/or speak German though.
12. Can I use/follow this blog if I am cisgender?
Yes, you can. But we are here to answer questions trans and questioning people might have. If you’re cisgender and would like to learn about trans issues, there are other resources on the internet that are more suitable for you.
